A continuing search for those rare, unique whiskies...
In starting The Harris Whisky Company, I realised an ambition which I had held for many years – to source and bottle some of the wonderful whisky, with unique characteristics, from distilleries throughout Scotland.
Our search for rare whisky with that 'wow factor' certainly is not limited to the famous distilleries, we endeavour to promote whiskies that are less well known but are equally as good. The real emphasis is on enjoyment – our philosophy is simple – to select and create whiskies that can be enjoyed by as diverse a range of palates as possible. Most of our selected whiskies are single cask, single malts, bottled at cask strength, uncoloured and unchillfiltered, indeed exactly as they come out of the cask.
So far, our bottlings have been extremely well received by critics, connoisseurs and the occasional drinker alike – only our favourite whiskies will be bottled under the Harris label.
